AIR2 Inflator Regulator
This Hydros X model comes with a fifth-generation AIR2 backup inflator regulator. Combining a backup regulator with a buoyancy control system, the AIR2 delivers air as smoothly as most primary second stages and is always within easy reach.
The AIR2 power inflator fits comfortably in the hand, and the large inflate and deflate buttons can be differentiated by both color and touch. Large bite tabs on the mouthpiece provide a secure grip in high-stress situations. It is CE-certified for waters 50-degrees Fahrenheit or warmer.
Conclusion
I personally dive a backplate with a Scubapro Xtec wing, and I love it. Can't go wrong with Scubapro quality, it is one of the best. They offer so many inter-changeable add-ons which is a bonus.
If you are looking to purchase a new BCD and can afford it, this should be a serious consideration. At just under $1000; don't let the price tag deflect you as this is one of a kind and top quality. You can pay more, for considerably less, in today's BCD market.
